Lock your Hard disk drives

We can LOCK our DRIVES with using of GROUP POLICY Method.. This method is called as Hi tech Lock system for windows drives.

ఇప్పుడు గ్రూప్ పాలసీ అనే విండోస్ method ద్వారా  అత్యంత సులభంగా మీ సిస్టంలో ఉన్న hard drives ని LOCK చేసుకోవచ్చును.

GROUP POLICY METHOD : ( Works on Windows XP/7)

STEPS:

1. Click START button.

2. In search bar type gpedit.msc , click on that icon..Local Group Policy Editor will be opened.

3. In left side Pane, we will see 2 policies(Computer configuration & User configuration)

4. click drop down small item at Administrative templates in User configuration policy.

5. click drop down item at Windows Components.

6. click on the Windows Explorer, now see right side pane.

7. In that right side pane, Double click on Prevent access to drives from My Computer.

8. At last check Enabled Radio button., In Options area we can choose individual drives or all drives to lock our hard drives.

9. click Apply, then click OK.

10. Close the Group editor. 

REBOOT your Computer and see the magic..

if don't want to Lock your drives, follow the steps  up to 8th step, then check Not Configured.
